The human that would later become Upir Hagakura is born, and named Victor by his parents. As both were British Nobles, he would have a rather comfortable life - at least until one summer night in 1685, where he is turned into a vampire and renamed Osiris. He is mostly left to his own devices, his sire (Ixion Asterion) having never really wanted to sire him in the first place; Ixion had been instructed by the head of the bloodline, Rhadamanthus, to bring another vampire into the fold and he did so mostly just out of respect for the elder vampire. Osiris struggles to survive, not knowing much at all and being quite hesitant to approach the other members of the bloodline that he had been brought into.

Nothing very important happens during this time period, other than Osiris' resentment of his sire growing. He begins to wander further and further away from the home of his grandsire, where most of the Asterion bloodline were, but these trips were rarely anything more than mundane.

In 1755, Osiris' sire Ixion is slain by a mysterious agency dedicated to the eradication of the supernatural. Osiris barely avoids being caught, fleeing far north in the England to escape the group of vampire hunters. Eventually he seeks out a vampiric mentor so that he could learn what Ixion had never bothered to teach him, and after a while finds one. She sees Osiris as young and foolish, having already lived a few centuries herself, and tells him about vampires. Eventually she disappears, and Osiris wanders the isle looking for her; this was the only true mentor he had ever known and was more family than the Asterion bloodline, at least in his eyes. Osiris hears a rumor that brings him to consider France as a destination, and he prepares to leave England in the spring of 1830 without much delay; he had, after all, few possessions.

Historical events: The American Revolutionary War (1775–1783), The British Slave Trade Act (1807) which abolished the slave trade in the Empire.

In 1830 Osiris enters France, just in time to see the July Revolution break out. Not having a great understanding of French politics, he attempts to avoid the entire situation. Fortunately it does not last beyond a couple of days and Osiris can go about his search for other vampires without any significant problems arising. It actually does not take him long to find a surprisingly large community based out of a theater, although Osiris finds them odd and is extremely reluctant to join with them. He has talks with a small number of them, and after a couple of years leaves Paris to look at other aspects of the country. He decides that he is better off on his own than looking for other vampires, his experiences with others of his own kind being slightly displeasurable.
Osiris hears of Britain's first Opium War (1839 to 1842), which arouses an interest in the Orient. Hearing of the talks with Japan to open its ports to foreigners, he begins slowly making his way to the strange country to essentially see what it is all about. By 1850 Osiris had arrived in India and has no problems integrating into the more heavily British-controlled sections of the country. While vaguely interested in the culture of the Indians, the country is not up to his high personal standards and he waits impatiently for a chance to look at China and Japan.

Historical events: The Slavery Abolition Act (1833) made not just the slave trade but slavery itself illegal - emancipating all slaves in the British Empire on 1 August 1834.

Osiris enters Japan in 1854, just after The Convention of Kanagawa formally ends Japan's policy of isolation. He becomes involved in the civil war (Bakumatsu) and eventually attains the status of samurai. At the end of the Bakumatsu (1867) Osiris is forced to leave the country and becomes a Ronin.
Osiris enters the United States of America for the first time in 1869, witnessing new revolutions in the area of travel. It is this year that the First Transcontinental Railroad is completed in the United States, and The Suez Canal opens halfway around the world.
By 1897, Osiris had left the United States of American for Germany.

Historical events: India's First War of Independence (1857-1858) and the dissolution of The East India Company.

At the end of World War Two in 1945, Upir enters the United States of America for the second time. Two years later he buries himself deep within the bosom of the Earth (he goes Dead and Buried).

Upir reawakens from his lengthy sleep in 2002 for a reason he cannot fathom. Crawling forth from the dirt, the skeletal vampire does little other than seek out blood for a considerable amount of time. Even after his appearance has been restored, Upir leaves civilization alone in lieu of the strange new things that had been brought into the world while he was sleeping. Examples included the digital camera, space shuttles and landing on the moon, computers, and the world-wide web. Upir was highly resistant to assimilating into society and even refused to wear modern clothing, resorting to his older ronin habits and wandering around the Americas from 2002 to 2004.

In January of this year, Upir reaches a dark city known as RavenBlack. Despite practically feeling at home among the many vampires and other supernatural beings, he still refuses to emerge from solitude until the middle of the year. Fortunately Upir had some bank accounts keeping his human wealth safe, and managed to use it to purchase a home in the outskirts of the City and fill it with a few amenities and decorate it to his liking. Some special construction also went on, the workers either bribed into silence about it or "disappeared." By autumn, he had begun the vampiric equivalent of a family, and had begun a transformation into a more sociable being.
From September 13th to the 29th, Upir sires four vampires: Dead, Selene, Luminessa, and Adritha.

In the summer, Upir returns to the City and is saddened to see that so many of his friends and family had perished for one reason or another. He does, however, meet some important vampires - potentially the most notable being his future wife Avita. By the close of 2007, Upir had sired two childer; Rosalie (IGN: LovelyRose) and Napolyon.

In January, two significant events take place. First Upir takes his first sire since the death of Ixion, RemipunX; shortly afterwards he and Avita bind in a rather unceremonial and somewhat secret wedding. Avita's sire at the time, ShadowSins, did not want her to bind but the two vampires entered the Hall of Binding anyway. On the last day of the month, Upir sires the strange woman Kat (IGN: Katty).
In March Napolyon becomes fully powered, astounding Upir with her speed in doing so; he is quite proud of her progress.

April 4th: Yakumo_Fuji holy waters Upir (among various other Battlecloaked vampires), giving no reasons despite all efforts to contact him. Upir begins organizing a counter-assault with several other vampires, but Yakumo_Fuji falls into shadows before any real damage is done; approximately 6000 pints of blood were taken from him. He would then remain lost in shadow until December 2008. This is Upir's first taste of Holy Water despite all his time in the City.
May 5th: Upir is suddenly severed by RemipunX. He manages to get a weak explanation from her childe BaShalor, but to this day he does not truly know why he was severed. However, he is ultimately glad to have been freed from her.
    June 8th: Napolyon sires Marjaan.
June 26th: Upir takes Coquette as a sire.
June 28th: Avita severs Liander Myst, and Upir is rather glad to see this happen.
June 29th: Upir removes his BattleCloak, having found it to be more of a hindrance than much else.
August: Upir becomes involved with the zeroing of the vampire Mal Evolence (slow death), who is brought to zero by the 30th.
October 11th: Marjaan becomes fully powered (with the exception of Locate-3, which she would eventually gain later on like Upir did).
October 23rd: Napolyon 'adopts' the vampire Tarragon.
November 14th: Marjaan sires her first childe, Christian Lecroix (chriscross).
November 25th[?]: Andre severs Coquette, at her request.
December 8th: Marjaan sires her second childe, Gavin Draper (bentrovato). Evidently not cut out to be a vampire, it does not take him long to die.
December 13th: Coquette is sired by ophelia.
    December 28th: Coquette sires Toki.

    February 3rd: Avita sires Faizah.
February 14th: Marjaan sires Laura Arabell.
February 17th: The vampire Archangel sends his entire clan out after Upir, the reason for which remains unknown. 2000 pints of blood are taken before Upir becomes lost in shadow, which he does for his own reasons. No real harm is done, and the assault is quickly called off.
February 24th: Napolyon and Lykazin bind.
    March 7th: Coquette sires -Tatyn-.
April: Clan Cyaegha opens its doors.
April 20th: Marjaan no longer has any childer, through some circumstance or another.
    April 29th: Coquette severs Toki.
June 12th: Marhat becomes one of upir's childer.
June 26th: This date marks one year of Coquette and upir keeping their sire-childe bond.
July 18th: Marhat gains her last necessary power, Celerity-3, with some help from Upir.
August 20th: Coquette sires Reizvolles and VioIa.
October 23rd: A contract is taken out on Upir by an anonymous vampire, and he is soon visited by the Splinters of Dusk. Upir is brought from over 41000 pints of blood to around 26000, most of the damage having been done in live battles with Idony, whom Upir eventually zeroes and no ill feelings are left between the two.

Unknown date: Marjaan disappears sometime in October and eventually reappears a few months later severely weakened.
