Avita
Avita is the only true wife Upir has ever taken in his lengthy life. Their story had an interesting beginning, meeting entirely by accident but from the start there was instant attraction of some sort between the two. Avita was one of the first vampires for Upir to encounter after his return to City, and although that night did not go very well for anyone - as vampire hunters had attacked en masse - in times after that Upir and Avita had talked and felt a growing bond. It became so strong that despite the fact that Avita was such a young vampire and her sire had a rule not allowing her to bind unless she was more powerful, Upir and Avita married anyway in early 2008. Avita's sire, ShadowSins (aka Sinner), splashed his childe with some holy water for disobeying and at that moment Upir immediately began to hold a dislike of Sinner. However as it was perfectly within Sinner's right to punish rule-breakers as head of his line, and Avita had not even reached a blood level even appropriate for holy water to do significant damage, Upir did not retaliate although he certainly objected strongly and made sure to tend to his new wife's injuries.

Coquette
Upir met Coquette soon after he was severed from RemipunX (May 2008). She contacted him through the newspaper BCIN, curious - as she was Remi's sibling at the time - why the childe of a relative would be severed since no public information had been offered. The two began talking, and Coquette essentially offered to sire Upir "to piss Remi off." He initially dismissed the proposition, but as he came to know the woman better Upir began to actually consider it seriously. Coquette seemed to be an intelligent and honest being, and although her outspoken disposition clashed with his own personality, the difference might actually be seen as a good thing.
It is a rather strange match, one Upir himself would never had seen coming due to their differences. However the relationship has actually worked out quite well, perhaps due in part to the fact that neither vampire sees it as a traditional sire-childe relationship. Upir doesn't need Coquette at all, but he likes her, and although publicly it may occasionally seem as though he talks down to her (calling her insane, little, etc.) it is all in jest and he will defend her whenever necessary. Although they rarely talk it does not bother Upir, as he understands that the woman is very busy with The RavenBlack Bite (along with her other childer and her clan duties) and he was never very talkative to begin with. Upir does not expect the bonds of blood to last forever, as nothing ever does - especially in RavenBlack City but he will always regard Coquette as family no matter what may transpire in the future.

Dianacelestina
Upir met Diana Celestina entirely by chance one night, and he soon learned of her excellent relationship with Isis Amber. Things went off to a good start, and Upir likes Diana although he is not sure exactly what her current status is within RavenBlack City. He had found her to be intelligent and friendly, someone with whom he could easily converse with on heavier philosophical subjects.

Idony
Idony was a former sibling of Upir's when he was sired by RemipunX, and was one of the first to welcome him into the family. Upir quickly took a liking to Idony, noting her fine manners and other traits that were evidently a result of being raised by high-class family. Unfortunately, recently Upir has seen a degradation in said mannerisms, finding her more crude and overly distasteful in her speech. It is not necessarily how she speaks, though, but rather what she speaks of - evidently young Idony had taken a liking to such authors as the Marquis de Sade, who was infamous for writing about sordid and deviant sexual activities that were torturous to some humans. Upir was shocked when the woman had told a vampire something along the lines of "f--k yourself with a splintered wooden dildo," and wondered what had happened to her that would elicit such behavior. However in her more delicate moments Upir does still like her a fair amount, and despite his disapproval at times he can get along with her quite well. When the Splinters of Dusk attacked Upir, most of the damage was done in live battles with Idony and she gained some more respect from Upir for her courage and skill - although Upir had not fought a serious opponent in many years and was extremely rusty, and it was a bit silly for Idony to engage battle even when it was clear she would lose. Upir dislikes the Splinters of Dusk for what they do, and feels that their policy of non-resting will prove very damaging (mentally and physically) to the members in the long run, but he holds no grudge against any of them with the possible exception of Andre - whom Upir sees as quite dishonorable and not to be trusted. Upir suspects it is Andre's and the Splinters' influence on Idony (along with The Midnights) that has been transforming - or "ruining" - her, and that is yet another reason for him to dislike those entities.

Isis Amber
Isis was the first vampire Upir actually met in RavenBlack City, and the two became fast friends. It was also through her, indirectly or not, that Upir met several other vampires that he would eventually deem as 'friends'. His early experiences within the City would have not been nearly as good without her, and Upir was extremely saddened indeed to find out that she had died permanently. Isis was also the first vampire in many, many years to gain feelings from Upir that went beyond simple friendship.

Upir's memory of Larion in the past is a bit hazy, but since her return to the City he's found her very likable.

Liander
Liander has never been able to really get on Upir's good side, who thinks the man could do with getting knocked around a bit. Although Liander had been sired by Avita at one point, his attitudes and actions did not make Liander more endearing to Upir in the least and he was quite glad to see Liander severed. Liander appears to be able to recognize his own mistakes and claim that he will change/mature, but Upir has seen no evidence of Liander changing and would not really care if Liander was to disappear from the City for good. When Upir heard Liander was a clan leader, he burst out in laughter as he had not done in countless years. In this Liander can occasionally be a source of amusement, but for the most part Upir sees him as a mosquito that just keeps foolishly getting back up after being swatted. While normally he would have respect for someone displaying such perseverance, Upir sees Liander's efforts as more useless and redundant than anything else - which makes it a negative trait rather than a positive.

Napolyon
Napolyon was Upir's second childe after his return to the City in 2007, and it quickly became obvious that he had little reason to be anything but proud of her. Aside from becoming a bit deranged in later years, and her recent inactivity, Napolyon is still presumably Upir's favorite. He has come to disapprove of her partner-bound Lykazin, but Upir does trust Napolyon to make correct judgments and thus he has been as lenient as possible in dealing with those close to her.

ophelia
Upir has not talked with ophelia much but he holds respect for the woman and unhesitatingly trusted Coquette's decision to take her as a sire after being severed by Andre.

RemipunX (Ashley "Remi" Remington)
When Upir finally decided to go looking for a sire, for various reasons, Remi was one option that came up. After a small amount of conversation, he decided to bind to her and initially things went quite well. There were no problems with the family, and nothing bad truly appeared to be creeping up over the horizon. However, one day Upir found himself - once again - a master vampire. He immediately attempted to contact Remi, wondering why, but received no response from her. Finding this odd, BaShalor soon spoke up for his sire Remi and gave a somewhat reasonable explanation for what had happened. Despite the intrinsic strangeness of these events, Upir mostly accepted them and went about things as normal.
Soon, certain pieces of information related to Remi began to pop up in various places. Few were positive, and eventually Upir began to get a clearer image of the "real" Remi. His attitudes become slightly more negative to her, and watched as Idony and -Konamie- severed from Remi themselves at significant cost; eventually Upir came to the conclusion that he was lucky to have been severed from Remi. Currently Upir holds little love for Remi, having found her to be a deceitful and manipulative creature with few merits, and is ultimately a bit pleased to see her Dead and Buried. However the binding was not without benefits, as Upir did meet several vampires he grew to like (such as Coquette, Idony, and -Konamie-), and overall the experience was far from terrible - it was only after learning more about his former sire that Upir grew to dislike her.

Roilando
Roilando was Isis Amber's original sire, so Upir was bound to encounter the man at one point or another. Although the first meeting or two had iffy results, Upir grew to like the vampire quite a bit. They appeared to have a similar mindset, and although Upir was unhappy to see Roilando essentially "die" he has a significant interest in how things with 'Bryant' will work out.

Rosalie De Luca (LovelyRose)
Upon Upir's return to RavenBlack City, Rosalie was the first vampire he sired, and as such she will always be special to him. She has been extremely absent within the City, but Upir has never regretted the decision to sire her. He does however wish that she was active once more, and the two could get to know each other better.

Scythian
Upon returning to RavenBlack City in mid-2007, Scythian was the first vampire that Upir encountered. As time passed their paths crossed several more times, and being an 'interesting' acquaintance Upir has never been able to really decide if he truly trusts the other vampire or not.
